North Las Vegas Green Infrastructure in Drainageways

North Las Vegas Code of Ordinances § 17.24.030 mandates use of natural materials, like grass, soil, gravel or rock, in lining drainageways where geotechnical conditions are favorable to avoid use of the use of smooth or plain concrete. The use of smooth or plain concrete for lining of drainageways is discouraged and is permitted only as part of a flood control or stormwater management plan approved jointly by the Department of Public Works and the Planning and Zoning Department.
