North Myrtle Beach Zoning Flexibility to Allow Bioretention and Natural Infiltration

Per the North Myrtle Beach zoning code, all required landscape areas must be irrigated or utilize drought tolerant plants, unless “unless incorporated into the stormwater management plan as bioretention and infiltration areas wherein irrigation is provided via stormwater runoff.” Plants in such areas should be from an enumerated list of plants for bioswales and bioretention.
