Norwich Smart Surface Parking Lot Requirements

Norwich calls for porous pavement to be considered for parking lot construction to increase on-site water retention, and requires parking lots in commercial and industrial districts to have at least 18 square feet of green space for each parking space, seeded to grass and planted with trees and shrubs. In all parking lots of more than 50 spaces, a landscaped divider strip at least 6 feet wide planted to trees and evergreen shrubs must be provided within 150 feet of center.
