Olathe Stormwater Management Regulations

This title establishes the City of Olathe’s regulations for effective stormwater management. In addition to generally laying out the city’s approach to stormwater management, the sections within this title direct developers to design stormwater detention facilities to manage ” the ninety-nine percent (99%) (one (1) year) and ten percent (10%) (ten (10) year) chance (return frequency) design storms” (§ 17.10.210), and require, in some instances, a maintenance agreement that clearly lays out responsibility for maintaining stormwater treatment facilities, frequency of maintenance, and the parties’ rights.
