Omaha Green Corners Landscaping Requirements for Residential Subdivisions

This ordinance mandates the inclusion of landscaped green corners at arterial street intersections in newly platted residential subdivisions. Each green corner must be at least 5,000 square feet and incorporate a mix of overstory and understory trees, shrubs, and flowers while maintaining a 40% clear area for visibility. Neighborhood identification signs are permitted but must follow strict design guidelines. Alternative designs may be considered for grade-separated intersections with public works approval.
