Omaha Master Plan – Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (EPP) and Sustainable Procurement Goal

This goal establishes an Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (EPP) program to promote sustainable procurement practices for City and County operations. It adopts the EPA’s Comprehensive Procurement Guideline (CPG) to encourage the use of recycled-content products and sets standards for purchasing low-impact chemical products. The goal prioritizes green-certified products, EPEAT-registered electronics, and sustainable materials in capital improvement projects. It also supports local green business certification programs and incentives to reduce raw material consumption.
