Oregon City Municipal Code to Establish Standards for Trees

This rule establishes standards for approval of land use applications to ensure that new development is designed in a manner that preserves trees to the maximum extent possible. Applicants for review are given four options to comply with the requirements set forth in this provision, which include: (1) Option 1: Mitigation – Retention and removal of trees, with subsequent mitigation by replanting; (2) Option 2 – Dedicated Tract; protection of trees or groves by placement in a tract within a new subdivision or partition plat; (3) Option 3 – Restrictive covenant; protection of trees or groves by recordation of a permanent restrictive covenant; (4) Option 4 – Cash-in-lieu of planting
