Overland Park Mixed Use Design Standards for Existing Trees and Vegetation

This rule establishes mixed use design standards for existing trees and vegetation in Overland Park which encourage preservation of existing trees. The standards note that significant existing trees “should be incorporated into the design of the development as natural features,” and that locations for preserving trees include “streamways, drainageways, steep slopes, and any other area where a natural woodland, grassland, or wetland is desired as an amenity to the development or the city.”
