Polk County Code to Establish Requirements for Stormwater Management

This rule specifies certain design elements that may be used by a developer to satisfy requirements for the post-construction runoff plan, including: (1) Use of natural drainage, detention ponds, or infiltration pits so that runoff may collect and seep into the ground; (2) Divert and catch runoff through the use of bioswales, berms, green strip filters, etc.; and (3) Construct driveways, walkways, and parking lots from porous materials to allow increased percolation of runoff into the ground
