Reno Demonstration of Public Benefits for Rezoning to a PUD

Reno Land Development Code § 18.08.505 stipulates that requests to change the zoning district to a Planned Unit Development requires demonstrating a benefit to the public, conformance with the Master Plan, and other impacts have been considered. Public benefits that can be demonstrated for the approval of the Planning Commission and the City Council includes incorporating green infrastructure to enhance stormwater infiltration and/or flood protection, the efficient use of land, energy and resources, preservation of wetlands, habitats, specimen trees, and other natural features, pedestrian and bike trails, parks, and open spaces.
