Reno Master Plan November 2021

City of Reno Master Plan published in 2017 and updated most recently in 2021 encourages features such as shade trees or reflective materials to mitigate impacts of urban heat island effect, low-impact development techniques to minimize impermeable surfaces, use of drought tolerant plants. Plan also encourages orienting layout of homes to support passive solar to heat homes and take advantage of rooftop PV and promotes and incentivizes green building and sustainable neighborhood development,
