Rhode Island’s 2021 Act on Climate

This state law is an update on the previous 2014 Resilient Rhode Island Act, and it sets mandatory, enforceable climate emissions reduction goals culminating in net-zero emissions by 2050. Development for the bill included a comprehensive report that quantified rooftop solar potential in the state.
