Roanoke Solar Tax Exemption Ordinance

This Roanoke ordinance creates a tax exemption for solar equipment that provides energy that would otherwise have been generated by fossil fuels. The amount of the exemption is determined by applying the local tax rate to the value of the energy equipment and subtracting this amount from the total real estate property tax or tool tax due.
