Rome Encourages Green Infrastructure

Two Rome Ordinances (§§ 62-5, 8-22.3) explicitly encourage green infrastructure. Sec. 62-5 presents standards for subdivision development. It requires that all developments meet storm management requirements of the zoning code and encourages the use of green infrastructure stormwater management methods. Sec. 8-22.3 also explicitly encourages the use of green infrastructure designs when constructing drainage systems for subdivisions.
