San Francisco Better Roofs Ordinance

This San Francisco planning ordinance expands on the California Green Building Code, which requires that large new buildings set aside 15% of total roof area to be solar ready, to mandate that the building owner actually use the solar ready area. Owners can either use this zone for solar energy and heat generation infrastructure or city-approved vegetated and green roofs.
