Shade Phoenix: An Action Plan for Trees and Built Shade

Shade Phoenix (2024) is an update to the City’s Tree and Shade Master Plan from 2010. It focuses on protecting residents from extreme heat by expanding shade on city-owned properties, caring for existing trees and shade structures, strengthening institutional standards, and creating a city-wide movement around shade and heat.
