Shade Trees in Passaic Aging-Friendly Land Use Plan

The city enforces design standards per a local ordinance. Zoning regulations require exterior lighting to be provided for safety “in an aesthetic manner.” Street tree plantings are required along property frontage, and shade trees are required to be the primary landscaping material in parking lots and are recommended in all areas of high pedestrian traffic.
