Tukwila’s Elements: A Comprehensive Plan

The City of Tukwila Comprehensive Plan is a 20-year plan that articulates the community’s vision and values about how it will grow into the future. The goals, policies and implementation strategies included in this Plan provide a basis for the City’s regulations and guide future decisionmaking. The Plan also addresses anticipated population, housing, and employment growth, and how facilities and services will be maintained or improved to accommodate expected growth between now and the year 2044. Includes the promotion of street tree planting, city-wide tree coverage monitoring, and guidance for development projects in a manner that protects the city’s natural landscape.
