Vermont State Hazard Mitigation Plan

The Vermont State Hazard Mitigation Plan (SHMP) identifies natural hazards that affect Vermont and provides a roadmap for long-term resilience. The SHMP calls for a reduction in urban heat by maintaining and increasing tree canopy and vegetative cover and reducing pavement and other impervious surfaces.
